Get familiar with your classroom

To get the most from the next six weeks, it is important to get off to a solid start by getting familiar with all the features of a Web-based class. Just follow these simple steps.

1. Select the 'Student Tools' navigation button.
   
   

2. Review the Course Outline if you haven't seen it before.
   
   

3. Read carefully the Orientation.
   
   

4. Read carefully the Discussion Board Tips.
   

5. Review the Technical Tips and Hints.
   

6. Explore the rest of the classroom and get familiar with its features and the wonderful tools that are available to you. Check out:

   1. Post a welcome message on the Discussion Board to your fellow students. Tell us a little about yourself. What part of the country are you from? What do you do with your time? Why are you taking the class?

   2. Visit the External Links.

7. On the Tuesday your class is scheduled to begin, just come back into the classroom and click on 'Lessons'.
