You keep refering to your hairstylist and in a case like mine I don't have a hairstylist as my last one retired and I haven't found one that can help me they just wanted to do what I want and not help me find a style that would be best for me and my type of hair. I just don't know what is best for my hair type and things I find that I think would be nice they tell me it would take a lot of work to keep it up so end up with what I have but it doesn't work.

    I was very interested in the product information and found it very helpful in choosing the proper ones for me.

    I also found the different face shapes informative. I never really considered that influenced the hair style for me.

    The feedback from classmates was also a plus. It was reassuring to find others had the same reasons for taking the course and shared the same concerns about style, color & products.

    I learned a lot about what products would to use for my hair. I liked when Barb gave us a list of her favorites, before I would stand in front of all the shampoos and conditioners without and idea of what to buy. I enjoyed being able to work at my on speed with the information that was given. I would go and with a small piece of paper with the info that pertained to me on it I would go to stores and look around at all the products. I signed up mostly to get an idea of what kind of hair style would be good on me but I recieved a lot of vauable information that I need to keep my hair in good shape and how to different styles.

    The discussion section could be strengthened. I think the layout could be improved so that fewer mouse clicks are needed to get from the logon screen to the lessons or the discussion group. I attend Regis University online. The navigation to various components takes fewer steps. I wish we could have submitted the photos earlier in the course so that the makeover could be available by the end of the class instead of two to three weeks after the end of the class.

    The learning materials were engaging. I got a good feel for the material using available time (which was in short supply). It got me started on developing a class while I was taking this class. I learned a lot in a short time and have lots of great reference materials to go back to. Thanks!

    Hard to know how to create more "carrots and sticks" to get the students to use the ontline materials more often (discussion, etc.) I was involved in the beginning but my job workload made it hard to get back on track later in the class.     It is difficult to evalutate this class since we won't receive our makeovers for another 2 weeks, and that is a biggest reason I decided to take this course. I did receive a lot of valuable information and I hope to use it and refer back to it from time to time. Also, the strong points of the class were being able to complete it at your own pace and time, and being able to email the instructor questions. The weak point is not getting the face to face experience.

    The audio and video in the lessons gave you a chance to see if you were learning what you should be and the video of how to do the hairstyles in lesson 12 really helped me, as a visual learner, to understand what was being taught.     The wealth of information presented was very helpful as was the listing of products in the various categories. In the past, I have been reluctant to buy new products or otherwise experiment with my hair due to lack of knowledge.     I was very impressed by the excellent technical support. It was very easy to get in touch with the technician. He was always very pleasant and helpful when I needed assistance solving a computer problem. I also appreciated the fact that I could go into the classroom at my convenience---which was all different times of the day--night. That would be impossible in the regular classroom situation.

    Appropriate information was provided for all interest levels.     It is difficult to evaluate the course without it really being completed. The main reason I took this class was to get the suggested hairstyles for me from the instructor. It would have been better to get those early on and have time to try them out and ask questions about them before the course ended.

    The main point that was repeated lesson after lesson was to find a good stylist who I can ask questions and trust. Why would someone take a class like this just to hear that someone else is the best judge? I wanted to get real answers to questions asked and not be told to go to another professional.

    I was turned off when I tried to listen to the audioclips as well. It may be that you are trying to get a casual effect by saying "um" and "uh" a lot, but truly it just sounds unprofessional. Write down what you want to say, practice it and, if you have to, read it into the microphone. When I pay for a class, I expect the instructor to be confident that he/she knows the material. In a face to face communication, I know that someone may need to pause to gather her thoughts, but you have the chance to practice and think about what you want to say before you present it.

    I had a great time with this course and eagerly looked forward to each new lesson. The course work was very organized and followed a logical progression. Each lesson built on the previous one. I received a lot of good tips on styling products, equipment, hair suggestions for face shapes, ingredients to avoid in products, etc. A lot of the information I had "sort of" knowlege about, but this class really helped fill in the gaps.
