What did you like about the course?

I liked the interaction among students and instructor in the discussion boards. I also liked that the course was divided into seperate lessons - each would be different, but building on the last.

What suggestions do you have?

Some of the lessons were very limited and I easily made it throught them quickly - money and kids, for example (But i had a tough time with some assingments because they were not geared toward neutral - I dont have kids so that assingment will be in waiting until I do. Also, on the other hand, some classes were very heavily loaded - stocks, mutual funds, among others. Those took quite some time for me to complete, because there was so much information, Id be overwhelmed. Maybe if some of the smaller lessons were grouped, and the larger ones were spread out a little more. And, adapt the assignments to include those who aren't necessarily in the position to perform such an assignment at the time.

What did you like about the course?

This information came at a good time for me -- retirement and the death of a parent. It made me think hard about things I had "put off" or taken for granted. The arrangement of the lessons & activities was a good one. The print level/size and the organization of the material was logical and easy to read and review.

What suggestions do you have?

I'm glad that I have had this opportunity to experience a course delivered via the Web. It helps me understand what others mean when they talk about having such classes. I think that I would still prefer the face-to-face option, but this manner of delivery is good for many who have a travel/time/responsibility issue. This type of class can be worked at and accessed using one's own schedule and resources.

    All lessons were presented on time every week. The instructor was very open to answer questions.

    Well organized, carefully thought out, considerate of diversified age groups and places of learning perceptions, encouraging and lightly humurous and yet professionally structured, and numerous resources that are computer user friendly.

    What suggestions do you have?

    Discussion board typing response time frame does not give a lot of room for those who are not readily "keyboard savvy." If this is because teacher responses are computer generated and not one on one with "live" instructor, then students need to be informed of this at beginning.     Course covered a wide-range of concerns. Exercises were good practical practice for applying to real life. Overall a very helpful class. Will there be a part 2?

    I found the 'business'sections not applicable, would have preferred more personal money matters. Maybe consider doing two course, one more for Women, Money and Business and one for Women, Money on the Homefront.     Lesssons 2,4,6,11,12. These were the most helpful to me as a retired teacher, who now takes money out of annuities, and 401Ks. The lesson that listed tasks to complete in case of a spouse's death was quite helpful.

    There should be alternate assignments for Seniors whose families are grown and away from home. We don't need to pay mortgages or deposit money in annuities etc.

    What did you like about the course?

    Everything was kept simple. Sometimes finance jargon can be highly confusing and this course kept those terms and concepts relatively simple.

    What suggestions do you have?

    It would have been nice to see more detail on the chapter for investing in mutual funds.
